When we choose a site to source the finest plants, we take our time because we know that the perfect, wild growing environment leads to the best oils and oil products.

First, we check the soil to ensure that it’s perfectly balanced to nurture only the highest quality plants, renowned for hardiness and yield. Next, our team personally visits the towns and villages nearby to interview and hand-select the most skilled and motivated pickers.

We only choose pickers with expert local knowledge who can rapidly choose and cut the finest plants from the wild. This means we work with an agile, skilled team of 10 people from each village, ready to harvest the perfect plants for your oils.

Our skilled teams are fast too. They harvest up to 1500kg of raw plant materials in a single 3-hour shift.

Furthermore, to ensure we only process the best plants, our pickers visually inspect each plant and then cut the herbs by hand with pruning shears so that only top-quality raw materials are used in your oils.

The distillation process

Once our teams of wild pickers have harvested the plants needed to make our essential oils, and we’ve rushed them to our processing centre in Adana, your oils and hydrolats are ready for distillation.

To ensure there is no wastage and the products are 100% fresh, after a second quality inspection, our skilled, knowledgeable technicians immediately begin the preparation and distillation process.

Our modern distillation machinery uses a multi-step sequence that extracts pure oil and hydrolat from the raw plants.

Our powerful, sterile steam boilers create the high volume of pressurised steam needed for distillation.
An indirect steam generator feeds the super-heated steam through to the harvested plant material, rich with pure oils ready to be released.
The smooth, gentle pressure from the steam generator activates the plant’s natural chemicals, which free the essential oils into the vapour.
The steam vapour then passes through a condenser where the oil-infused liquid cools.
The mixture then separates into a completely pure layer of the plant’s essential oil, and a gentle hydrolat solution that contains the plant’s essence. This can then be used for a variety of cosmetic, chemical and pharmaceutical purposes.
A clever, reverse osmosis system continues to feed the indirect steam generator, ensuring that the process remains sterile and pure.
With distillation running almost constantly, we can provide you with large amounts of pure oil and hydrolats. Even better, we dispose of waste biomass sustainably, ethically and with environmental consciousness.
